Antique store, Pine Street e. of 13th St. Photographer’s manuscript note on verso: “Antique Store, Pine St. E. of 13” St. The ships on the wall are actual models. Models of launches and sailing boats are always made in this manner. Two or three cigar store Indians are on exhibition, while a ship’s figurehead may also be seen. A Jewish candlestick is in the right-hand window. Note the length of the gun barrel on wall. Probibly [sic] a bullet would be worn to a sliver en transit from the breach to the muzzle of this Arabian fire arm. The weather vain [sic] of the rooster variety - now practically extinct - is on view. An interesting old negro is the proprietor of this curious shop.” P.8513.175 |
